"I am running for Statesboro City Council, District 2 because there is a need for change and advocacy."

01. Poverty Level

I propose to help reduce the poverty level in District 2 by implementing workforce development programs, job training, and improving access to jobs.  This includes removing barriers that prevent equal access to employment services and resources. My goal is to empower the people of District 2 by including them in the development of plans and programs aimed to eradicate poverty.

02. Youth Resources

My platform is to provide resources for our youth.  This includes rejuvenating recreational areas in District 2 as well as the implementation of  programs aimed to build self-esteem and self-efficiency.  I plan to reinforce this platform by incorporating mentoring programs and tutoring programs; both aimed at establishing youth organizations that encourage the discovery of their own passions.

03. Public Transportation

I plan to advocate for public transportation for District 2.  Not only will public transportation benefit the local economy but it will increase mobility for the citizens of District 2 who have a transportation barrier as it relates to employment and education.

04. Infrastructure

My goal is to advocate for the improvement of District 2’s infrastructure which includes street, sidewalk, and sewage repairs. I believe in demolishing abandoned buildings and in the consistent upkeep of community ground.  This is vital to the beautification and property value for the citizens of District 2.

"The district needs someone who is not afraid to fight for them and someone who will not remain silent on providing the necessary tools needed to be successful citizens."
