Paulette Chavers was born and raised in Statesboro Ga. She obtained her high school diploma from Statesboro High School and furthered her education by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Georgia Southern University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor with emphasis in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a Master’s Addiction Counselor (MAC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is the CEO of Refocus Counseling and a partner with Road to Success Counseling.
She has been in the field of counseling for over 10 years and has been trained in many areas such as child sexual abuse treatment, behavioral disorders, suicide prevention, substance abuse treatment, self-care and burn-out prevention and case management, just to name a few. She thoroughly enjoys what she does, and prides herself with being honest to others, serving the community and advocating for those who feel as if they do not have a voice. She serves in several capacities and apart of many civic groups such as NAACP, One Boro, and Queendom Builders. She enjoys traveling, dancing, spending time with family and friend, laughing and reading.
